JANIKA OZA
Janika began practicing yoga at the age of 11 and has been teaching since 2013. She is a graduate of the YogaSpace 200 hour Teacher Training Program in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and is a member of the Yoga Alliance. She has also trained in Kundalini Yoga and incorporates meditation and chanting into her classes. She is dedicated to teaching yoga to people from all communities and backgrounds and has taught yoga, as well as nutrition, movement, and art classes, to children and youth in schools and community centres.
She completed her B.A. in Environmental Studies and French and has worked as an elementary school teacher in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She currently runs an afterschool program in Flemingdon Park, works to improve food security with the Toronto Youth Food Policy Council, and is the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator for newcomer communities with Mes Amis Canada.
