STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Stop Letting Stress Control You
“People are disturbed not by a thing, but by their perception of the thing”, said Epictetus. This represents a phenomenon that everyone experiences in their daily lives - stress. Though stress is a world-wide phenomenon, everyone has different stressors and experiences. Some stress is good - without it, we wouldn’t have motivation - but chronic stress can lead to detrimental health effects. When experiencing chronic stress, your body releases excess amounts of the hormone cortisol, which can have numerous repercussions, such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, sleep difficulties, lower immunity and obesity. Given this, it is essential to learn stress-coping mechanisms.
Our six-month program will educate you in uncovering your stressors, understanding early signs of stress, and implementing coping skills to reduce stress.
